From Girls to Young, Ambitious and Beautiful Women
This program encourages young girls to go above and beyond to achieve success, no matter the situation. From Girls to Young, Ambitious and Beautiful Women is a 4-week after school program concluding with a 1-day conference for 5th grade girls.
Between the gang violence, gun violence and the poverty of the West-side of Chicago, these girls need a listening ear and positive role models. The Chicago members of Young, Ambitious and Beautiful are all inner-city women who understand the challenges of being successful.
Research suggests that girls who are mentored increase their aspirations and goals by 79% (Girls Who Run the World, 2010). Y.A.B. wants to help these young girls.
