​"I've always said that I was the missing puzzle piece both Brittany Daisy and Lauren needed to fulfill the mission of Y.A.B. Having worked at Wiley and taught at College of DuPage I‘ve met a number of individuals who have the same passion for seeing young girls succeed. Specifically, Wiley has participated in Y.A.B.’s annual school supply drive, collecting donations for Chicago Public School’s Network 5 located on the Westside of Chicago. In addition, the women I have met during my career serve as great examples to the young girls Y.A.B. is looking to inspire. my experiences as one of the few young black women in higher education serves as an example to young girls to work toward their goals regardless of the women around. Our amazing members serve as coaches and examples that women of color can surpass the odds"
