Sicarra BlackI began my career studying law enforcement at Wayne County Community College in Detroit, Mi, and after graduating with an AAS in Law Enforcement Administration, I had a change of heart. This ultimately led me to pursue fashion design & merchandising at The International Academy of Design & Technology in Troy, Mi. Prior to graduating from IADT with a BFA in fashion design & merchandising, I had the opportunity to design clothing for a few shows. This includes my debut in the "Imagine" show at the historic Detroit Fox Theatre, of which I won first place for my category in April 2010. I also interned at a local boutique that same year, which sparked my new found love of wardrobe styling & accessory design.
The invaluable experience gained from working within the various arenas of the fashion industry, helped to fulfill my dream of becoming a wardrobe stylist and launch my innovative accessory line, Sicarra Black Accessoies, in 2011. I also am Co-Owner of The Style Dolls Fashion Agency alongside one of Y.A.B's Co-Founders, Daisy. TSD fashion agency, offers wardrobe styling & image consulting services and as of recently, hosts pop-up shops featuring women's vintage clothing. Moving forward, I plan to organize free annual workshops for little girls to create their own accessories. I hope to awaken their artistic abilities that could in turn inspire them and possibly become designers of their own future collections.
