I am the Founder and Chief Dream Engineer of 8StorySocial, a consulting business that provides dreambuilding coaching programs for millennial women. My “Because Dreams Win” Blog emphasizes dreambuilding strategies through empowerment and motivation. I have worked with companies and nonprofits such as 21st Century Community Learning, Detroit Public Schools Community District, The Children’s Center of Detroit, Henry Ford Hospital and Wayne State University. I have been featured as a guest blogger on Thisishermovement.com and as a digital presenter for The Unlocked Summit 2016 hosted by Empire Life Magazine and Ala Carte Galore.
With a vivid passion for helping youth pursue their dreams, I also serve as the Director of Educational Outreach at The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit. I oversee a national college prep and mentoring program designed to prepare teens for their futures. I received a Master of Science in Education, Media Design and Technology from Full Sail University but is also a proud alum of Bowling Green State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications with a minor in Ethnic Studies. As a Detroit native, I have actively worked in youth development for the past 11 years and is also the creator of a young women’s mentoring group called “The Network”. The Network pairs young women with adult mentors for encouragement and support. In addition to the support established, I have had great success with The Network’s community service efforts such as adopting a deserving family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have taken my purpose, passion and power for helping young people onward and upward to assist young adults in creating a blueprint for their dream life.
