Y.A.B, Presents: The "Create and Collaborate" Contest.
Y.A.B. followers and supporters have the chance to create our next event. This event is designed to give our followers the chance to have their voices heard.
The potential event ideas can be an event solely hosted by Y.A.B., an event in collaboration with one or more of our venture partners, or an event with any other business or organization. The event should be designed to occur in Summer 2013 and would have to take place at a location in Metro-Detroit or Chicago.
Both men and women are encouraged to participate.
All the ideas will be voted on by the public. The participants are advised to promote their event idea via their social media and be sure to include @Y.A.B. (Facebook), @iamyab3 (Twitter) or @iamyab (Instagram) to help gain votes.
The top 3 chosen will receive $50 gift cards to Restaurant.com.
The participants should include in their submissions:
· Event Name
· Event Purpose
· Event Participants/Hosts
· Event Location
· Potential Event Date
· Crowd Expectancy
· Target Audience
The deadline for submission is April 30th at 12:00AM.

I am Evann Webb, the collegiate intern for Y.A.B. I am currently studying at Michigan State University where I am double-majoring in journalism and apparel and textile design. Fashion and writing are truly my passions, and I hope to intertwine the two by becoming a successful fashion journalist. I would also like to explore the world of styling and image consulting. Some of my goals in life are to help create a stronger fashion avenue in Detroit, and also to help African American women become more prominent in the fashion industry. I hope to inspire young women my age to be all that they can be, and look good while doing so. I am excited to begin my journey with Y.A.B.; I know that by being a part of this organization, I will learn a lot and meet amazing people along the way.
